BOSTON – After averaging a double-double last week, junior forward Anthony Lamb has been named America East Player of the Week for the sixth time this season. The league made the announcement on Monday.

The Rochester, New York native posted 25.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game in a 2-0 week for the Cats. The 6-6 big man shot 64.3% (18-for-28) from the floor and 50.0% (3-of-6) from downtown in the pair of victories.
 
UVM cruised to an 86-63 win over Maine on Wednesday as Lamb dropped 24 points and seven boards. He was nearly perfect from the field on 8-of-9 shooting and dished out two assists. He capped off the week with 26 points and 14 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the year in a 67-49 victory against rival UAlbany on Saturday. The junior hit 10-of-19 attempts and swatted away four shots.
 
Lamb stands atop his America East peers with a 21.4 scoring average this season. He ranks second in rebounding average (8.0), field goal percentage (52.2%), and blocks (50). He is the first UVM player to record five double-doubles in a season since Brian Voelkel in 2012-13 and first Catamount to collect six Player of the Week nods since Taylor Coppenrath in 2004-05.
 
The Green and Gold own a 19-5 overall record for the third straight season under Cioffi Men's Basketball Head Coach John Becker and for the fifth time in school history. The Cats are also 9-1 in league play for the third consecutive year and eighth time in program history.
