SWIMMING & DIVING NOTEBOOK
The Vermont women's swimming & diving team travels to Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts for the four-day 2019 America East Championships. The competition begins on Thursday (Feb. 14) with Day 1 diving at 4:30 p.m. and relays at 6:00 p.m. Prelims will begin at 10:00 a.m. with finals at 5:30 p.m. in each of the following days, from Friday (Feb. 15) through Sunday (Feb. 17).

2019 CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION
Tickets will be sold on site at WPI and an All-Session Pass is available for $55 (7 sessions). General admission for each session is $10 for adults, $5 for youth (14 and under), and $2 for America East students with ID. Live video of the event is available each day for free via AmericaEast.TV through the links above, and live results will be available at the league's Championship Central page.Â

2018 CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP | 2018 Complete Results
Two relay victories highlighted the Cats' 2018 championship meet as both the 200 and 400 free relays made their way to the top of the podium. Current sophomore
Emily Murphy earned All-Conference honors as a rookie by placing second on the 1-meter board, while then-sophomore
Sierra Sexton raced to second in the 50 free and 200 free to earn All-Conference recognition.

Vermont closed the four-day competition with 11 All-Conference performances and broke three school records en route to earning their sixth-straight third-place finish in the team standings with 652 points. New Hampshire won the conference title with 794 points, less than five points ahead of runner-up UMBC (789.5 points).Â

LAST TIME OUT
Kristina Posnick won the 500 free and 1000 free on the Jan. 19 Senior Day Meet against Rhode Island, despite Vermont falling to the Rams 175-125 at Forbush Natatorium.

Sophia Smith and
Morgan Montgomery also registered first-place finishes as UVM closed out the dual meet season with a 4-5 (2-1 AE) record.

TOP CATS
Two Catamount swimmers and divers earned America East weekly awards this season for their standout performances. Murphy picked up the season's first America East Diver of the Week award after sweeping both boards in the Cats' 172-124 victory at Niagara (Sept. 30), marking the third conference honor of her career. Tri-captain DeGregorio earned her first Swimmer of the Week accolade after winning the 100 fly and 200 fly at back-to-back meets against Stony Brook (Nov. 10) and Bryant (Nov. 11).
