Lekkas backboned a stout UVM defense this weekend racking up 79 saves over 125 minutes of action against ninth-ranked Providence in Rhode Island. The junior made 33 saves in a 3-1 Catamount win on Friday and followed that up with 46 in a 1-1 tie on Saturday.

Boasting a .929 save percentage, Lekkas leads Hockey East and ranks ninth in all of college hockey. He also leads the country in saves per game with over 31 per contest.

Lekkas and the Cats are back home this weekend for a crucial Hockey East set against New Hampshire. Action from the Gut starts at 7:05 both Friday and Saturday night.
