BURLINGTON, Vt. – University of Vermont head coach
Kate Pfeifer announced the addition of
Maryette Stuart as Associate Head Coach of the field hockey program last week.

"I feel fortunate to welcome Maryette to Catamount Country," Pfeifer said. "She has tremendous experience competing and winning as a student-athlete in the America East Conference, and subsequently has impacted various programs as a mindful coach and diligent recruiter. Her eye for talent and unyielding work ethic are going to complement our staff wonderfully as the program strives for its first conference championship."
Stuart spent the last four seasons on staff at James Madison University. She spent the first three seasons as an assistant before the last as associate head coach and recruiting coordinator.
Prior to JMU, Stuart was an assistant at Holy Cross from 2012-15, spending three seasons in Worcester. Before Holy Cross, Stuart spent the 2011 season as an assistant at Siena College.
She played four seasons at Boston University and served as team captain as a senior in 2010. She was named an NFHCA Academic All-American in 2010. She helped the Terriers win the 2009 America East Championship as a junior.
Stuart majored in Health Science and graduated from BU in 2010. She earned her Master of Education with a specialization in Physical Education, Health, & Coaching from BU in 2011.
