CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Catamount senior
Warren Jeffrey was selected 52nd overall by the Chesapeake Bayhawks in the 2019 MLL Draft, held Saturday night at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte.

Jeffrey is the second Catamount drafted by the Bayhawks in recent history,
Ian MacKay '18 was chosen 13th overall by the Bayhawks last April in the 2018 MLL Collegiate Draft. Jeffrey is the third Catamount drafted into a professional lacrosse league in the last year, joining MacKay and
James Leary '18.
The senior Canadian has started every game for Vermont since his sophomore season and earned Second Team All-America East honors following the 2018 season. Jeffrey has the sixth-most caused turnovers in program history with 43.
Vermont was one of three America East teams to have a player selected in the draft. UAlbany's Sean Eccles was selected 11th overall by the Florida Launch and Stony Brook's Ryland Rees was selected 27th overall by the Boston Cannons.
Jeffrey and UVM begin America East play this weekend with a trip to Baltimore, Maryland to take on the UMBC Retrievers (1-4). Vermont took a 9-6 win over UMBC under the lights last year at Virtue Field.
