BURLINGTON, Vt. – The UVM women's soccer program has announced the addition of Holy Cross transfer and Vermont native
Cricket Basa. The announcement was made on Wednesday.
Basa, a Montpelier native, spent the 2018 campaign with the Crusaders and was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. In high school, she was a four-year letterwinner at Montpelier where she was a two-time All-State First Team selection. She is the school's all-time leading scorer and served as team captain during her junior and senior season. The 5-11 forward was chosen as the Times Argus Division II Player of the Year following a 30-goal effort as a sophomore. Basa also guided the Solons to a state championship game appearance in 2016.
