PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Former University of Vermont standouts
Warren Jeffrey '19 and
Braiden Davis '19 were selected by the Colorado Mammoth and New England Black Wolves, respectively, at the 2019 NLL Collegiate Entry Draft Tuesday night at Xfinity Live! In Philadelphia.

Jeffrey becomes the second Catamount in as many years to be taken in the top-10 in the NLL Draft. Last year,
Ian MacKay '18 was taken fourth overall by the Buffalo Bandits. Jeffrey and Davis are the third and fourth Cats in the last two seasons to be drafted into the NLL.
James Leary was taken 25th overall by the then-expansion Philadelphia Wings in 2018.
Vermont is one of just six NCAA schools with multiple top-10 picks in the last five years. UVM joins North Carolina, Ohio State, Syracuse, UAlbany, and Division II Limestone College.
The Mimico, Ontario native spent the summer with the MLL's Chesapeake BayHawks, where he had a standout rookie campaign. Jeffrey, a 2019 MLL Rookie of the Year nominee, had 17 ground balls and just one turnover in 13 games played.
At Vermont, Jeffrey earned America East Second Team All-Conference honors as a junior in 2018 and First Team All-Conference honors as a senior in 2019. He helped the Catamount defense rank in the top-10 in the NCAA in each of those seasons. The left-handed defenseman finished his Vermont career third in program history with 52 career caused turnovers. He made 55 career starts and played in 58 career games.
The Mammoth open the 2019-20 NLL season on Friday, Nov. 29 as they host the Saskatchewan Rush at the Pepsi Center in Denver. It marks the first game of the 2019 NLL Faceoff Weekend.
Davis, a fourth round selection by New England, captained the Catamounts as a senior in 2019 and finished his UVM career with 51 career points. He helped the Class of 2019 graduate as the winningest class in program history, making three trips to the America East Championship.
