FIELD HOCKEY NOTEBOOK
The Vermont Catamounts (3-4) head south to take on the Longwood University Lancers (4-2) at 2 p.m. Friday (Sept. 27) in Farmville, Virginia. Vermont then travels to Williamsburg, Virginia to take on the William & Mary Tribe (2-4) at 11 a.m. on Sunday (Sept. 29).
Friday's game will stream through ESPN+ ($) and feature live stats through Longwood's website. Sunday's game features live stats through William & Mary.

SCOUTING THE LANCERS
Longwood enters Friday's contest with a 4-2 record after opening the season with a 3-1 road loss against America East newcomer Monmouth and a 4-0 home opening against Long Island University.

Katie Wyman has started all six games in net and holds a 0.83 goals against average and a .886 save percentage. Karley Harwood has four of Longwood's 13 goals and a team high of 8 points this season.

The Lancers finished the 2018 season with a 9-7 overall record and a 4-2 record in the Big South Conference.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont and Longwood meet for just the third time in series history on Friday in Farmville, Virginia. Vermont took a 2-1 win over Longwood in 2008 before falling 2-1 in overtime in 2014.

SCOUTING THE TRIBE
William & Mary enters Sunday's contest with a 2-4 record after a 4-0 home loss to third-ranked Duke. The Tribe has wins over Long Island and Monmouth.
Morgan Connor and Kimi Jones have split their time in the goal this season. Connor holds a 2.16 goals against average and a .688 save percentage. Jones holds a 2.73 goals against average and a .667 save percentage. Christie van de Kemp has three goals this season which accounts for half of the team's goals so far this season.
William & Mary finished the 2018 season with a 12-8 overall record and 5-1 CAA record. The Tribe beat out Monmouth for a spot in the NCAA tournament but lost to top-ranked and 2018 national champion North Carolina in the first round. Â
INSIDE THE SERIES
UVM and W&M meet for the fifth time in series history and for the first time since 2010 on Sunday in Williamsburg, Virginia. Vermont and William & Mary have each won a pair of games in the series. Most recently. UVM took a 4-2 win over The Tribe in 2010.

MATTHEWS TAKES OFF
Catamount junior
Bailey Matthews tallied two goals and an assist in Vermont's 4-2 win over Brown last Friday (Sept. 13) at Moulton Winder Field. The forward tallied the game-winning-goal for the second straight game; she scored the lone goal in Vermont's 1-0 win over Hofstra (Sept. 8).
