BOSTON – University of Vermont freshman
Mina Poppas earned America East Swimmer of the Week honors for the first time in her career following Vermont's two-win weekend against Siena (Jan. 11) and Binghamton (Jan. 12). The conference announced the awards Tuesday morning.

Against Siena, Poppas won the 200 free with a time of 1:58.21 and won the 500 free with a time of 5:16.61.
Against Binghamton, Poppas won the 500 free (5:14.22) and the 1000 free (10:44.99).
She has won the 500 free in the last three meets for the Catamounts, closing the first semester with a wwin at the 2019 Harold Anderson Invitational at Rhode Island.
Vermont took a 191-100 win over Siena before taking a 163-137 America East win over Binghamton.
Poppas and the Catamounts compete in the final dual meet of the season this Saturday (Jan. 18) at Rhode Island. The four-day America East Championships are slated to begin on Thursday, Feb. 13.
