LAMB PASSES BARERA
With 12 points in Wednesday's win,
Anthony Lamb passed former Northeastern guard J.J. Barea for No. 25 on the America East all-time scoring list. Lamb has netted 1,685 career points, five more than Barea's time with the Huskies.
ALMOST A DUNCAN DOUBLE
Robin Duncan has come very close to grabbing his first career double-double in the last six games. He recorded an 11-rebound/seven-assist effort against Lipscomb on December 20, then finished one rebound shy against George Washington on December 31 with 10 points and nine boards. The sophomore had another solid game with 10 points and eight rebounds at Binghamton on Wednesday.
SCOUTING HARTFORD
The Hawks stand atop the America East standings with a 3-0 mark in conference play and have won six of their last seven games. Hartford is fresh off a 68-65 home victory over Stony Brook. John Gallagher's team is strong at defending the three-pointer. Hartford allows only a 28.6% clip from downtown, the 27th-best mark in the country. The Hawks also lead the conference in steals per game (7.4). Traci Carter is one of the nation's leader in takeaways. The La Salle graduate transfer has tallied the 22th-most (39) steals in Division I. Malik Ellison has averaged a double-double with 16.0 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. In three conference games, the graduate senior has notched two double-doubles including a 26-point/13-rebound performance at UMass Lowell on January 8.
