UNCASVILLE, Conn. – As a part of its non-conference schedule, the UVM men's basketball team will participate in a multi-team event called "Bubbleville" at Mohegan Sun from November 30 to December 2. The announcement was made by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Gazelle Group on Friday afternoon.
"The scheduling landscape in college basketball has been more challenging that its ever been," said Cioffi Men's Basketball Head Coach
John Becker. "This is a great opportunity for us to play three quality opponents in a safe environment."
The Catamounts will play three games as a part of the event against Buffalo, St. Bonaventure, and Iona.

Bubbleville will house several events relocated and reimagined due to COVID-19 and provides a controlled environment with teams and event staff adhering to tribal, government, and NCAA health and safety protocols and testing requirements.

Last November, Vermont played in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament. The Cats beat St. John's in the campus-site round and advanced to the Springfield Bracket Championship Game at Mohegan Sun.
Stef Smith was an All-Tournament Team pick after boasting an 18.7 scoring average and hit 41.2% of his attempts from three-point land in four games.
