TRACK & FIELD NOTEBOOK
Vermont track & field heads to Beantown for the Valentine Invite on Friday (Feb. 14) and Saturday (Feb. 15) at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center. The annual meet will be the Catamounts' final event before the America East Championships. The women will be competing on Day 1 of the event, with the men going on the following day. Vermont will bring a smaller roster to the Valentine Invite it has in most meets this season.

Lancer Timing will be the official scorers of the Invite. Results will be posted throughout the day.

VALENTINE INVITE
The Catamounts competed in last year's Valentine Invite and saw high finishes from several Catamounts. The strong field tested UVM, with
Taylor Kracher '19 recording the top Vermont finish (3rd) in the 500 meter dash. Kracher was followed by DeBlieck in 11th place with a time of 1:05.94.
Justin Liechty finished 13th in the 400 meter dash and
Mia Grasso turned in a 25th-place finish in the 500 meter dash (1:16.83) for more successful runs by the Vermont sprinters. In the mid-distance events,
Tyler Marshall nabbed a 10th-place finish in the 1000 meter run (2:27.52) and
Lauren Trumble '19 finished 20th with a mile time of 4:48.07.

USTFCCCA CONFERENCE RATINGS
The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its conference rankings for the first time this season. The UVM men were picked fifth in the America East, ahead of New Hampshire, Maine, UMBC, and Hartford. The Catamount women were selected seventh in the conference.

ALBANY RECAP
John Benner grabbed first place in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:26.52 to headline the Catamounts' day last Friday at the UAlbany Winter Classic in Staten Island, New York.
Caroline O'Shea posted a runner-up finish in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:57.07 that was just 0.11 seconds off of first place. In the mile,
Phoebe Koski finished in third place with a time of 4:57.93.

CATS AT DARTMOUTH
Vermont also competed in the Dartmouth Invitational last weekend on Saturday (Feb. 8).
Jasper Reed capture the lone individual victory with a triple jump of 13.79 meters. A trio of Catamounts grabbed runner-up finishes with
Annemarie Martell coming second in the mile (5:06.43),
Bill Comstock placing second in the 500 meter dash (1:07.15), and
Tyler Marshall finishing second in the 800 meter run (1:55.07).

GEARING UP FOR AMERICA EAST
This weekend's Valentine Invite is the final meet before the conference championships, and the first of three in a row at the BU Track & Tennis Center. The America East Championships are on February 21 and 22, beginning at 10 a.m. on both days. The Cats return to Boston for the third-straight and final time of the indoor season on March 7 and 8 for the ECAC/IC4A Championships.
