WOMEN'S HOCKEY NOTEBOOK
Vermont (10-14-7, 7-12-5 HEAW) visits Holy Cross (3-21-5, 3-18-2 HEAW) for the final road series of the regular season. The series kicks off on Saturday (Feb. 15) at 1 p.m. at the Hart Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. The Hockey East counterparts meet again on Sunday (Feb. 16) at 12 p.m.

SCOUTING THE CRUSADERS
Holy Cross enters the weekend after falling 5-2 at Boston University last Saturday. The Crusaders have dropped eight of their last 10 games and will be missing the conference playoffs in their second year of Division I play. Holy Cross earned a season sweep earlier this season with three wins over Merrimack.
 
Rachel Moore leads the HC offense with 11 points (3 goals, 8 assists) this season. Mary Edmonds and Carlie Magier have a team-high four goals.
 
Jada Brenon has 26 starts in net this season with a .910 save percentage and a 3.43 goals against average. The sophomore has posted two shutouts and has made the third-most saves (843) in the nation.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts and Crusaders will meet for the sixth and seventh official times in series history. The programs first met unofficially in a 1998 exhibition contest. UVM won the first official meeting 2-0 in 2001 as D-III programs. The Catamounts won the lone trip to Worcester last season with a 2-1 victory. The two teams met earlier this season on February 2 in Burlington and skated to a 2-2 draw. Val Caldwell and Lily Humphrey both scored in the final seven minutes to overcome the deficit.
 
CLINCHING WEEKEND
Vermont clinched the final playoff spot in the Hockey East Tournament last weekend with two points against UConn. The Catamounts hosted the Huskies for a two-game series, which included the seventh annual Pack the Gut challenge. Despite getting pushed back a day due to weather, Gutterson Fieldhouse hosted 1,163 fans for Saturday's contest. UConn took a 4-2 victory on Saturday, but the Catamounts answered with a 6-2 win the following day. Theresa Schafzahl paced the UVM offense with back-to-back two-goal games.
 
POULIN-LABELLE GARNERS WEEKLY HONOR
Sophomore Maude Poulin-Labelle was named Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week following a three-point series against UConn. The sophomore matched a league-high three assists, which included her program-record 28th point of the season.
 
MOST POINTS BY A UVM BLUELINER
Maude Poulin-Labelle's 28th point broke the single-season record for most points by a UVM defenseman. The sophomore notched it with an assist in Sunday's 6-2 victory. Poulin-Labelle passed the mark set by Dayna Colang '16 in the 2013-14 season. She can tie Colang's record for most goals by a defenseman (12) with one more tally this season.
