BURLINGTON, Vt. - Senior forward
Hanna Crymble of the Vermont women's basketball team has been named Academic All-District by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). She is the first Catamount to earn that honor since May Kotsopoulos '10 in 2010. The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the court and in the classroom. Voting is done by members of CoSIDA.

The senior co-captain joins Ellen Margaret Andrews of Yale, Laura Bagwell-Katalinich of Cornell, Jeannie Boehm of Harvard, and Annie McKenna of Dartmouth, as well as Rebekah Hand of Marist on the District I team.
Crymble is a Biochemistry major with a 3.81 cumulative GPA. Over the past two seasons she has been honored as an America East All-Academic Team member.
She has led the Catamounts in scoring each of the past four seasons. With 12 points Wednesday she has exactly 1,700 career points at Vermont, ranking sixth all-time. She is one of just 22 student-athletes in America East history to reach 1,700 points. She is the all-time leader at UVM in free throw percentage at 85.2 percent. She is also second all-time with 105 career blocks, including a team-high 48 this season.
The 2019-20 CoSIDA Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team (if applicable) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March.
Vermont heads back out on the road for its final regular season contest away from Patrick Gym tomorrow. The Catamounts will face UMBC at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3. Fans can also listen to the contest on WVMT AM 620/96.3 FM with Maura Sheridan on the call.
