WOMEN'S HOCKEY NOTEBOOK
Vermont (9-13-7, 6-11-5 HEAW) host the UConn (14-12-2, 11-8-2 HEAW) for a pair of games, starting with the annual Pack the Gut challenge on Friday (Feb. 7). The Catamounts will try to break the Hockey East attendance record (2,136 fans) at 6 p.m. All tickets are on sale for $2.

UVM and UConn will then close out the regular season series on Saturday (Feb. 8). Puck drop at Gutterson Fieldhouse is slated for 4 p.m.

The first 200 students at Friday's Pack the Gut challenge will receive free wings from Wings Over Burlington.

UVM will be hosting an ice cream social after Friday's game. Vermont fans will have the opportunity to meet their favorite Catamounts. Â

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
UConn enters the series fifth in Hockey East with 24 points and an 11-8-2 record in conference play. The Huskies have a 2-2-1 mark in their last five games with a pair of home wins against Maine.

Similar to the Catamounts, UConn suppresses shots against with an average of 25 allowed per game, which is 10th in the nation. The Huskies are second in the nation in faceoff percentage (56.7%), which is two spots ahead of the Cats (56.3%).

Catherine Crawley paces the UConn offense with 24 points on a team-high 11 goals and 13 assists. Natalie Snodgrass (23 points) and Briana Colangelo (18 points) also have a team-high 13 assists.

Morgan Fisher and Samantha Carpentier-Yelle have seen time in net for the Huskies. Fisher has played 19 games with a .922 save percentage and 1.99 goals against average. Carpentier-Yelle has a .922 save percentage and 1.99 goals against average in nine starts.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont and UConn square off for the 44th and 45th times in series history. The Cats are 10-27-6 overall and have a 3-3-4 mark in the last 10 meetings. UVM's most recent win over the Huskies came in the Pack the Gut challenge on February 9, 2018.
Ali O'Leary scored the game-winner in a 1-0 victory as 1,876 fans were in attendance. The conference foes skated to a 2-2 draw earlier this season in Storrs, Connecticut.
Maude Poulin-Labelle scored her seventh goal of the season to tie the game with 6:45 left in regulation.
