BURLINGTON, Vt. - In an effort to responsibly manage circumstances related to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), The University of Vermont is working closely with the Vermont Department of Health while also monitoring and following guidance from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). 
 
Consistent with this guidance, the UVM Athletic Department is implementing several measures to ensure a safe environment for participants and attendees at tonight's America East Men's Basketball Semifinal at Patrick Gymnasium. 
 
These measures include:
 

• A requirement that anyone who is experiencing flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, chills, shortness of breath, etc.) or who has recently (March 4 or after) returned from a trip to China, Italy, South Korea or Iran not attend tonight's game (see below for information on ticket refunds.)

 

• An increased effort to clean and disinfect the facility prior to, during and after tonight's contest.

 

• Hand sanitizing stations available throughout the facility.

 

• Strong encouragement of a no handshake or high five policy at tonight's game.

 
Fans desiring refunds on tickets already purchased or requiring additional information should call the UVM Athletic Ticket Office at 802-656-4410 prior to 5 p.m. today.
