BURLINGTON, Vt. - The University of Vermont Cross Country and Track and Field teams announced over 30 student-athletes who will make up the incoming Class of 2024. They represent 14 states, including five student-athletes from Vermont, and incorporate all disciplines.
The freshmen will join a team who, despite having their season cut-short, still managed to post several school records, as well as have the most student-athletes named to the America East All-Academic Team among all America East schools.
As head coach
Matt Belfield heads into his 18th season leading the Catamounts, he had this to say about the talented group, "We are very excited to welcome over 30 new men and women to our Track & Field and Cross Country program this year. These newcomers bring a tremendous amount of enthusiasm as they join a cast of almost 100 returners to our team. While we are not able to highlight everyone on our list, here are a few for you to get to know:"
