WAKEFIELD, Mass. - 20 members of the Vermont men's hockey team and 19 members of the women's hockey team were named to the 2019-20 Hockey East All-Academic Team by the league this week. Additionally, Owen Grant and Anna Erickson were honored as Hockey East Top Scholar-Athletes, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Each student-athlete selected achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or better in each of the two academic periods during which he or she was actively competing. 183 student-athletes were named to the men's team, while 175 student-athletes made the women's squad. Both the men and women established new Hockey East records with the number of student-athletes honored.
 
Derek Lodermeier and Eve-Audrey Picard were recognized as Hockey East Distinguished Scholars. They maintained a 3.0 GPA or better in each semester of their four varsity seasons.
