COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -  The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has named the Vermont women's swimming and diving squad to its Scholar All-America team for the Spring 2020 semester.

CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart noted, "No team was unaffected by this spring's pandemic but Director of Athletics Jeff Schulman and UVM President Suresh Garimella can and should be proud of their team and the work of head coach Gerry Cournoyer." 

With an overall team GPA of 3.65 Vermont was one of six America East schools to receive the honor.
 
The CSCAA selected a record 789 programs from 461 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2020 semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring grade point averages and represent 17,982 student-athletes. The CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-Americans for 2019-20 next week.
