BOSTON – UVM men's basketball junior forward
Ryan Davis has been named America East Player of the Week. The weekly accolade is the first of Davis' three-year career. The league made the announcement on Monday morning.

Davis averaged 17.0 points an 9.5 rebounds per game as the Catamounts swept their two-game road series at Binghamton over the weekend. The Schaumburg, Illinois native shot 60.8% (14-of-23) from the floor in the two games and collected seven offensive rebounds. He made a triple in each contest and logged two steals.
He recorded his second double-double of the season in Saturday's 76-60 win with 25 points and 11 boards, including five on the offensive glass. He capped off the weekend with nine points and eight rebounds in 19 minutes of action as UVM scorched Binghamton 84-44 on Sunday. He canned three of his five field goal attempts and grabbed two offensive boards.
The 6-8 big man ranks second in scoring among America East players and sits No. 34 nationally with a 20.5 scoring average. Davis' 62.2% field goal percentage this season is the best in the league and No. 18 in the nation.
