BOSTON – Vermont men's soccer midfielder
Alex Nagy has been named America East Offensive Player of the Week. The conference made the announcement Monday afternoon.

Nagy led the Catamounts with four points in two games last week as UVM went 1-0-1 against America East opponents. Vermont picked up four conference points and vaulted up to second place in the league standings.
Nagy tallied three points against Hartford in Vermont's 2-0 win at Virtue Field on Tuesday (Oct. 13). The senior netted the game-winning goal in the 41st minute and assisted on
Zach Barrett's goal in the 53rd minute.
The senior also assisted on the Catamounts lone goal in a 1-1 draw at fourth-ranked New Hampshire on Saturday (Oct.16). Nagy's corner kick found
Yves Borie in the 73rd minute.
A native of Bow, New Hampshire, Nagy leads Vermont in points (13) and assists (5) through 13 games this season. The midfielder also leads the Catamounts in shots (41). Nagy ranks sixth in America East in points and third in assists.
Vermont returns to action on Tuesday (Oct. 19) when it visits Dartmouth (1-9, 0-3 Ivy) in Hanover, New Hampshire. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at Burnham Field and can be seen live on ESPN+.
