Vermont cross country heads to Durham, New Hampshire on Friday (Oct. 29) for the 2021 America East Cross Country Championships, hosted by UNH. The event kicks off with the women's 5k race at 12 p.m., followed by the men's 8k at 1 p.m. Official timing will be conducted by
Lancer Timing. Both races will broadcast live on

LAST YEAR'S CHAMPIONSHIPS
Last year's conference championships were held in the spring, and hosted by America East newcomer NJIT. The UVM women finished second in the conference for the second consecutive season. Vermont's initial second-place finish in 2019 was the program's highest finish since 1999. The men finished third in the championships, also for the second straight season. In 2019, the men's cross country team's second-place finish was its highest since 1992.

ALL-CONFERENCE CATS
A trio of current Catamounts have earned All-Conference honors in previous seasons at the America East Championships.
Lily Porth and
Matt Hynes ran All-Conference marks in last year's conference championships with fifth and 12th-place finishes in their respective races. In 2019,
Meaghan Alba was All-Conference with a 14th-place finish.
PRE-CONFERENCE MEET
The Catamounts ran the championship course earlier this season when New Hampshire hosted the Pre-Conference Invite in September.
Andrew Crompton and
Jane Leighton raced to third-place overall finishes in their respective races. The UVM men posted a second-place finish with 56 points in the 8k race. The Vermont women registered 62 points for third place in the 5k.
