The Vermont field hockey team plays its second of five straight away from home Saturday afternoon when it travels to Boston College for a 3 p.m. start.

Saturday's contest will be played at the Field Hockey Complex in Newton, Mass.

Kate Hall tipped in a deflection on a penalty corner against UMass last weekend but it was not enough as the Minutewomen scored three unanswered to defeat Vermont, 3-1. Hall scored in the season opener last year and has now scored in three of the last four games.
Sierra Espeland made five saves including a pair of key stops in a scoreless second half.

Last weekend's contest at UMass put an end to a 490-day gap between official contests for the Catamounts. Prior to Sunday, Vermont's last game was a 3-2 loss to Dartmouth on Nov. 3 of 2019.

SCOUTING BOSTON COLLEGE
The Eagles host a pair of America East schools this weekend as they take on New Hampshire Friday before the Catamounts head to the Commonwealth on Saturday. BC played three games in an abbreviated fall season and enters the weekend with a 1-4 record – the lone win being a 5-3 final over Maine. Elizabeth Warner leads the Eagles with three goals this season while Jonna Kennedy has made 42 stops in cage through five games.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Saturday will mark the 17
th all-time meeting between the Catamounts and Eagles dating back to the 1980 season. Vermont won the first four matchups but is just 1-11 since. The two teams last played in 2013.
