BOSTON – UVM women's track and field senior Marina Cannon has been named America East Female Field Performer of the Week. The league made the announcement on Wednesday morning.

The Catamounts opened the 2021 outdoor season last Friday against UMass Lowell and Boston University. In the women's pole vault, she cleared a distance of 3.50m, edging UML's Rachel Hill in second place at 3.35m. The weekly accolade is the first of Cannon's outdoor career.
 
In the tri-meet, UVM won a total of nine events including five by the women's team.
 
Vermont will head to UNH for a quad meet on Saturday (April 3).
