Women’s Soccer Set to Face Stony Brook Thursday in America East Semifinals

BOSTON – The University of Vermont women's soccer team will face the number one seed from Division B Stony Brook in the America East Semifinals Thursday at 6 p.m. America East formally announced the championship pairings Saturday afternoon. As the 2021 Regular Season Champion UMass Lowell will host both semifinal games Thursday and the Championship Saturday. All three contests will air live on AmericaEast.TV.

The all-time series between the Catamounts and Seawolves is knotted up at 14-14-1. The teams last meeting in the America East Playoffs came in the 2017 America East Championship game, the Seawolves defeated Vermont 2-1 at home in that contest.
 
Thursday will be the Catamounts eighth all-time appearance in the conference semifinals. It will be Vermont's fifth appearance under Head Coach Kristi Huizenga.
