Fresh off a thrilling 4-3 victory over UC Davis on Thursday, UVM gets another crack at a west coast team when the California Golden Bears pay a visit to Moulton Winder Field on Sunday afternoon. All the action gets underway at 2 p.m.

UVM will be honoring its seven-member senior class of

Peppe Haantjes,
Pleun Haantjes,
Bailey Matthews,
Sydney Melfi,
Clare Sheahan and
Laura Zavrl following Sunday's contest. The Class of 2021 has compiled 21 wins over its four years on campus.

LAST TIME OUT
In one of the most exciting contests of the season, the Catamounts scored in the first minute and the last minute to win a heart-pounding 4-3 game over UC Davis on Thursday.
Kate Hall scored twice – including the game-winner with just 30 seconds left – to pace the Catamount offense.
Clodagh Ferry and
Lydia Maitland scored their first goals of the season while
Peppe Haantjes and
Clare Sheahan both registered defensive saves in the win.

IT'S BEEN A MINUTE
All four of Vermont's goals were assisted on Thursday. That hasn't happened since a 4-2 victory over Bryant in Sept. of 2016.
Lydia Maitland scored just 1:03 into the contest which is the fastest UVM goal since
Lauren Tucker converted just 1:35 into a 3-0 win over Central Michigan in Sept. 2017.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN BEARS
Cal is coming off a 3-1 victory over UAlbany on Thursday. The Golden Bears scored twice in the opening five minutes and then held off a furious Great Dane rally to get the win. Brynn Zorilla leads Cal with seven points this season on three goals and an assist – she scored twice on Thursday against UAlbany. Cato Knipping has played every minute in cage and enters the weekend with a 1.94 goals against average.

INSIDE THE MATCHUP
The history is brief between Cal and UVM with the two teams having met just twice in a series that began back in 1996. Each team has won a game with the Catamounts getting the best of the Golden Bears most recently – a 3-2 win in Orono, Maine back in 2016.
