COACH'S QUOTE
"The team did a great job of executing the game plan today and put Cal under pressure while also creating quality scoring chances," head coach
Kate Pfeifer said. "I am so proud of the growth are women have shown this season particularly with our team defense and making the ball dangerous inside the attacking zone. The game could've gone either way today and while I wish the result had been different there is so much to build on for the fall. Thank you to our seven seniors; you are outstanding representatives of UVM field hockey and I'm grateful for all you have given to this program."

Kate Hall and Clodagh Ferry directed shots, that were blocked and Haley Buffenbarger fired a shot on goal that was stopped by Cato Knipping (5 saves). - UVM countered with three shots to close out the third quarter. Ferry directed a shot on goal in the 41st minute that was turned away by Knipping.
- Cal stymied the Vermont attack in the fourth quarter, limiting the Catamounts to only one shot, which came in the final minute. Ferry's 60th-minute shot came immediately after a penalty corner, but Knipping stretched out to deny the tying attempt.
