With a postseason berth in hand, Vermont (5-5, 5-3 AE) hosts UMass Lowell (4-7, 3-5 AE) Saturday (May 1) on Senior Night, presented by the UVM Alumni Association. The regular season finale begins at 4:30 p.m. at Virtue Field. Fans can watch the action live on ESPN3.

The Catamounts will honor the Class of 2021 in a postgame ceremony on Saturday. Seniors
MacKenzie Bolt,
Mady Corkum,
Gabby Fairley,
Giuliana Frizzi, and
Cassidy Halloran will play their final home game at Virtue Field.
Jessica English and
Grace Giancola are also members of the Class of 2021, but will be returning to Vermont next season.

SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS
UMass Lowell enters Saturday's game ranked sixth in the America East standings. UML snapped a three-game winless streak a week ago with an 18-10 victory at Hartford. The River Hawks are led by Izzy Liquori who has posted 33 goals this season, which sits in a tie for third in the league. Goalkeeper Mackenzie Brown has played in all 11 games for UMass Lowell this season.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts own a 4-2 all-time record against UMass Lowell, dating back to their first meeting in 2015. UVM took the meeting earlier this season with a 17-11 victory over UML in Lowell. Vermont's last home win over the River Hawks came in 2018 on Senior Day.Â

Vermont's offense exploded for a 12-goal first half en route to a 17-11 victory over UMass Lowell on April 10.

McKenzie Ballard,
Maris Large, and
Meghan O'Connor also added multi-goal performances.
Jackie Shipp registered three saves for the Catamounts.

HEADED TO THE PLAYOFFS
For the first time since 2015, the Catamounts will be competing in the America East Tournament. Vermont clinched the postseason berth with a 13-9 win over New Hampshire last weekend. The conference championship will be hosted by top-seeded Stony Brook. Vermont can move into the No. 3 seed with a win over UMass Lowell, and a UMBC loss at seventh-ranked Stony Brook.
