HOME IS A GOOD PLACE TO START
Under Head Coach Jim Plumer the Catamounts are 3-3-3 in home openers at Gutterson Fieldhouse. Vermont's most recent win in a home opener was last season as they defeated New Hampshire 4-2 on December 19.

In the program's Division I history the Catamounts are 6-9-5 in home openers. Vermont is 4-4-1 in season openers under Coach Plumer.

BACK FOR MORE
During the condensed 2020-21 season the Catamounts clinched fourth place in Hockey East for the first time since 2017. First year goaltender Jessie McPherson became the first women's hockey player in program history to be named Hockey East Rookie of the Year and rising senior defenseman Maude Poulin-Labelle became the third Catamount in program history to be named a Hockey East All-Star in back-to-back seasons. UVM returns 81.4% of its scoring from last season and its lineup will feature three players who competed at the 2021 IIHF Women's World Championships this August.

CZECH MATE
Vermont forwards Tynka Pátková & Natálie Mlynková competed at the 2021 IIHF Women's Hockey World Championships in Calgary, Alberta for the Czech Republic. RPI defenseman Magdalena Erbenova also competed for the Czechs. The Czechs won four games in the tournament and finished seventh overall. Pátková picked up one goal in six games and Mlynková had one assist in six games. Erbenova didn't see any game action at the tournament.

SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
RPI is 0-2-0 on the season after two losses last weekend at Mercyhurst. The Engineers fell 2-1 in overtime on Friday night and 2-0 on Saturday. Junior goaltender Amanda Rampado was named MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week after the weekend series, she made 63 saves over the two-game set with the Lakers.

Junior forward Marah Wagner has the Engineers lone goal of the campaign. After two games, she also leads the club with six shots on goal. Czech national Erbenova blocked 12 shots on the opening weekend for RPI.

SERIES HISTORY
Vermont is 10-8-4 all-time against the Engineers. The two teams met eight times between 2010-2014 with the teams splitting the series 2-2-4. Under Head Coach Jim Plumer UVM is 2-0-1 against RPI. The last meeting between the two schools was a 2-2 tie at the Gut on October 12, 2014.

WINTER 2021 FAN AND VISITOR POLICY
The University of Vermont is now requiring anyone in a campus building to wear a face covering - regardless of vaccination status. The policy went into effect on August 5 to aid in protecting our community from the spread of COVID-19. In order to ensure the safety of students, staff and the community, UVM is now also expecting that all vaccine eligible visitors to campus, including fans attending athletic events, will be fully vaccinated.

Due to the ongoing health and safety protocols, concessions will be closed for the time being. No outside food will be permitted but fans are allowed to bring a reusable water bottle (maximum size 2 liters). Our policy will be reevaluated as circumstances evolve.

The Windjammer Inn and Conference Center is the presenting sponsor of the UVM women's hockey program
