John Becker's first of four America East Championships came in his first season as bench boss, leading UVM to a 51-43 victory at Stony Brook. Becker is 18-7 against Stony Brook with a 7.3-point margin of victory. The last five games have been decided by an average of 10 points.

SCOUTING THE SEAWOLVES
Stony Brook has won three-straight games since suffering a 98-65 loss to the Catamounts on Jan. 12 at Patrick Gym. The Seawolves have outscored its conference foes by nearly 10 points per game in its wins over UMBC (W, 65-51 on Jan. 17), Binghamton (W, 74-71 on Jan. 19), and UAlbany (W, 86-75 on Jan. 22). Anthony Roberts (14.9 ppg), Jahlil Jenkins (13.9 ppg), and Tykei Greene (11.2 ppg) all average double figures for the Seawolves. Roberts was named America East Player of the Week on Monday (Jan. 24) after averaging 18.0 points in SBU's last three games.

Vermont poured in a program-best 19 three pointers in its recent 98-65 victory over Stony Brook on Jan. 12. The 19 treys bested the previous record of 17 threes that was set in 1994 against Middlebury.
Finn Sullivan led UVM with four triples on five attempts. Eight different Catamounts made at least one three pointer, with 6-of-8 hitting multiple threes.

In the midst of Vermont's impressive seven-game winning streak, the Catamounts have scored at least 80 points in each of its last five wins. The five-game winning streak of scoring 80-plus points is the longest in program history. Vermont had only scored 80-plus points in four-straight wins prior to its active streak.
