SWIMMING AND DIVING NOTEBOOK
The Catamounts (1-1, 0-0 AE) will return to action Friday and Saturday as they travel to New Jersey for a two-day invitational with UMBC and St. Francis. The action kicks off Friday night starting at 5 p.m. The schedule for Saturday's meet is slated to start at nine a.m. with diving and 11 a.m. for swimming events and all the action will be streamed on ESPN+.

LEADING FROM THE FRONT
Senior captain
Mina Poppas has gotten off to a hot start this year with multiple victories in her first two meets. Poppas dominated the 100 and 500 freestyle against Merrimack on October 8, earning two first place finishes. She also finished second in the 200 free with a time of 1:54.73 against Northeastern on September 24. Fellow classmate and captain
Cailin Campbell has had a strong start as well earning a victory as part of the 200 medley relay team versus Merrimack while also finishing second in the 200 freestyle in a time of 2:01.64. The other member of the trio of captains,
Katherine Morrissey, has also earned a first place victory this year taking home the 200 fly against Merrimack in a time of 2:17.44.

MEET OUTLOOK
Swimming and diving teams from NJIT (men's), UMBC, St. Francis and Vermont will come together in Newark, New Jersey this weekend to compete at the NJIT Invitational. Vermont will compete against the women's teams of UMBC and St. Francis. The events Vermont will be participating in on Friday include the 200 freestyle relay, 100 backstroke and breaststroke, 200 freestyle and butterfly, the 50 freestyle, 400 IM, 1000 freestyle and 400 medley relay. Saturday will begin with the three meter diving event at nine a.m. with the one meter dive beginning at 12:20. The Catamounts will also participate in the 200 medley relay, 500 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 breaststroke and 400 freestyle relay.

SPECTATOR INFORMATION
For fans and parents interested in attending the meet events will be held at the NJIT Wellness and Events Center. There is a single day admission's fee of $15 for either Friday or Saturday and a $20 admission fee for both days included.

HOME MEETS
Vermont will have two more meets at Forbush Natatorium in the 2022-23 campaign. The next home meet will come on Saturday, November 5 as the Catamounts host Maine in an America East battle. The time for that meet is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. and will be broadcast live on AmericaEast.TV. Vermont's final home meet of the season will come against Rhode Island on Saturday, January 21. The start time for that meet is set for 10:30 a.m. and it will also be broadcasted on AmericaEast.TV.

UPCOMING
Following this weekend's dual meet at NJIT, the Catamounts will return to action on Saturday, October 22. That meet will be an America East competition at New Hampshire with the start time slated for 12 p.m. and it will be broadcast on AmericaEast.TV.
