BOSTON – Jackie House received an America East weekly award on Tuesday, October 18. House was named the Female Swimmer of the Week.

House receives her first America East Female Swimmer of the Week honor on the season, leading the Catamounts to a dominate performance at the NJIT Invitational. The Madison, Wisconsin native has earned six individual first place finishes and has helped with three relay victories on the season.
At the Northeastern meet House swept the freestyles taking first in the 100, 200, and 500. At the Merrimack meet House dominated the 50 free in a time of 24.72 (a whole second ahead of the field). During the NJIT Invitational House brought home the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle. In the 200 she finished in a time of 1:53.65, while in the 500 she finished in 5:04.34 a full four seconds ahead of the field. She also helped lead the Catamounts to victories in the 200 free relay, 400 free relay and the 400 medley relay.
House and the Catamounts will return to action Saturday, October 22 when they travel to Durham, New Hampshire. Vermont will take on New Hampshire in their first America East competition of the season. The meet is scheduled to start at 12 p.m. and will be broadcast on AmericaEast.TV.
