The Catamounts will host Merrimack on Saturday, October 8 in their second home meet of the 2022-2023 season. Vermont will meet with the Warriors for the first time in program history. The meet is slated to start at 2 p.m. with it being broadcast live on americaeast.TV.

EARLY IMPACT ON CATAMOUNT COUNTRY
Vermont had two first year athletes win in their first ever event against Northeastern.
Autumn Bullinger and
Natalie Schlemmer earned their first collegiate victories on Saturday, September 24. Bullinger recorded her first collegiate victory in the 50 backstroke, finishing in a blazing time of 26.62. She also finished second with a time of 57.89 in the 100 backstroke. Schlemmer dominated in the 50 breaststroke finishing first in just 31.55. She also took second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:08.88 and took fourth in the 100 IM finishing in 1:02.08.

PICKING UP RIGHT WHERE THEY LEFT OFF
For returning swimmers
Jackie House and
Ella Church they started a successful 2022-23 campaign picking up right where they left off in 2021-22. Church dominated in the 1000 free against Northeastern, clearing the field by over 17 full seconds. House was able to complete the trifecta cruising through the 100, 200 and 500 free with a time of 52.32 in the 100, 1:53.37 in the 200 and 5:04.23 in the 500.

REDSTONE SWAG
Saturday's meet will be the swimming and diving's annual Redstone Swag Toss. Redstone is proud to support UVM Athletics and be the sponsor of the Den student section. Redstone will be sponsoring a swag toss for lucky fans at Friday's game. UVM students, find your happy place as a resident at the Redstone Commons, Redstone Lofts, and Spinner Place.

COTS
The swimming and diving team will be hosting a toiletry drive at the meet to benefit the Committee on Temporary Shelter (COTS) and a food drive to support the America East food frenzy initiative. We encourage all fans to bring new toiletry items and non-perishable food items and drop them off right outside of the pool deck next to the marketing table.Â

UPCOMING
The Catamounts will be away from Forbush Natatorium for the first time this season. Vermont will travel to Newark, New Jersey where they will take place in a two-day event with UMBC and Saint Francis at NJIT. The Friday night schedule is slated to start at 5 p.m. while the Saturday events are scheduled to start at 11 a.m. All the events will be streamed on Americaeast.TV.
