TEDDY BEAR TOSS PRESENTED BY TD BANK SATURDAY
We encourage all fans to bring in a new stuffed animal to throw onto the ice in between the first and second period to benefit Lund, UVM Children's Hospital, and the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington.

SCORING IN DROVES
The Catamounts scored 13 goals last weekend in their sweep of the Black Bears. The 13 goals matched a program record for offensive output in a two-game series. UVM scored 13 against Sacred Heart October 6-7 in 2007. The Catamounts previous record for goals in a two-game set in league play came January 17-18 of this year as they put 12 past Holy Cross.

MLYNKOVA HAT TRICK LEADS THE WAY
In Friday's 6-1 win over Maine junior forward Natálie Mlýnková picked up her first career hat trick. She also added a tally on Saturday. For her efforts, she was named UVM's TD Bank Student-Athlete of the Week. She is currently tied for sixth in Hockey East this season with five league goals. She is also eighth in the conference with nine points. Overall, she is second on the team in scoring with eight goals and seven assists for 15 points.

SCHAFZAHL SHINING AGAIN
2022 All-American Theresa Schafzahl has picked up where she left off last season. She has 10 goals and six assists for 16 points in UVM's 12 games this season. She has 63 shots on the year which is tied for fourth most in the NCAA. She was the Hockey East runner-up in October for Player of the Month. Her 1.33 points per game is the third best in Hockey East.

Schafzahl currently has 56 career assists in the green and gold matching Amanda Pelkey's (2011-15) program record. Her next assist she'll own the mark herself. Schafzahl is already the all-time program leader in goals (60) and points (116).

McPHERSON BACKSTOPPING THE CATS
Junior goaltender Jessie McPherson is tied for third in the NCAA with seven wins this season. She has maintained a 2.05 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage. McPherson has 26 wins in her career at Vermont, she is approaching Madison Litchfield's (2013-17) program record of 32.

LONG CHANGE, LONG PERIOD
The Catamounts have been most effective this season during the second period, when both teams have the long change. UVM has outscored its opponents 17-6 in the second and outshot teams 138-72.

SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
Boston University sits at 3-7-0 on the campaign including a 2-6-0 mark in Hockey East action. Last weekend in a home-and-home set with No. 12 Providence they fell 3-2 in overtime at home and 4-1 in the second contest. After winning their first league game on the road at UNH (2-0) the Terriers have dropped their last two by a combined score of 9-3. Senior forward Julia Nearis leads the Terriers in scoring in points and goals this season. She has four goals and eight assists. All four of her goals have come in Hockey East action. Senior goaltender and Ohio State transfer Andrea Brändli has been in net for all three BU wins this season. She is 3-3-0 on the campaign with a 2.40 goals-against average and .932 save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY
BU is 37-10-8 against the Catamounts all-time. The Terries have won six of the last nine meetings in the series. BU snapped Vermont's program record nine-game win streak on February 11, 2022 in a 4-3 decision at Gutterson Fieldhouse. UVM won the next day 5-2. UVM is 2-6-2 in its last 10 home games against the Terriers. UVM's win on February 12 was their first at home over BU since October 9, 2016.

CZECH-MATES EARN BRONZE
Vermont forwards Tynka Pátková & Natálie Mlynková earned bronze medals at the 2022 IIHF Women's World Championships in Denmark last month. Czechia defeated Switzerland 4-2 in the bronze medal game behind two goals from Mlynková. It was Czechia's first-ever medal on the women's side. Former Catamount Blanka Skodova was also a member of the team.

There were three other current Catamounts in the tournament patrolling the blueline. First year Krista Parkkonen (Finland) made her World Championships debut while Sofie Skott (Denmark) and Sini Karjalainen (Finland) competed in their second World Championship at the senior level.
