COACH'S QUOTE ON THE FASTRACK INVITE
"Now is the time to position ourselves for ideal seeding at the America East Championships; and this is a great meet for these kind of performances," head coach
Matt Belfield said. "We are starting to add some speed and fine-tune our techniques, so I expect some marks that are the best of the season, and maybe of the career, for many. Ocean Breeze is a tremendous facility and our men and women will take full advantage."

LAST TIME AT OCEAN BREEZE
The Catamounts last went to the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in 2020 for the UAlbany Winter Classic. Vermont saw some top performances of the 2020-21 indoor campaign, including John Benner's first-place finish (2:26.52) that scared the 1000-meter school record. A pair of current Catamounts,
Mia Grasso and
Dina John logged seventh-place finishes in the 500-meter dash and 800-meter run, respectively.

COACH'S QUOTE ON THE HOME MEET
"We are excited to host UNH for a meet here at the Gardner-Collins Cage; it will be a classic dual with a lot on the line for many of our athletes still trying to make the America East travel squad," said Belfield. "Competing as hard as we can against our twin state rival will give the little extra push we need to get those marks. Most importantly, competing to win every event and earn team points is what it's all about."

BACK AT HOME
The Catamounts are competing on Gardner-Collins Indoor Track for the first time since the North Country All-Comers in Feb. 2019. The Vermont men and women both won the home meet. Mia Grasso and was victorious in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.34 seconds. On the men's side,
DJ Snide and
Chike Asanya were victorious in their sprints with times of 8.07s (55m hurdles) and 23.49s (200m), respectively.
