SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS
UMass Lowell enters Saturday's game fresh off a 62-50 victory over Maine on Wednesday (Feb. 2). The River Hawks have registered wins in two of their last five games and sit eighth in the conference standings. The UML duo of Allin Blunt and Kalil Thomas lead the River Hawks' offense with 10.6 and 10.2 points per game, respectively. Everette Hammond (9.9 ppg) and Max Brooks (9.7 ppg) closely follow. A vertical threat on the defensive end, Brooks registered 10 blocks a week ago against UAlbany.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts own a 13-3 record all-time against the River Hawks who joined the league in 2013-14. Vermont has a 7-2 mark in Lowell, split between Costello Athletic Center and the Tsongas Center. The conference foes met twice last season in Lowell, as the Catamounts opened the COVID-altered 2020-21 season on Dec. 21. UVM dropped its season opener 73-65, but followed it up with a 62-53 win a day later.

11 STRAIGHT
Vermont's 11-game winning streak is currently tied for the third-longest active streak in the country. UVM trails only Auburn (W18) and Wagner (W12). The current streak marks the fifth time that Vermont has won 11 straight games under Cioffi Men's Basketball Head Coach John Becker.

9-0 IN LEAGUE PLAY
The Catamounts are unbeaten through the first nine games of America East play for the fifth time in program history and the first time since the 2017-18 campaign. Vermont is currently one of only 10 teams in Division I that are unbeaten in league play.

CATS FROM THE FIELD
Vermont has the ninth-best field goal percentage in the country, making 49.1% of its attempts from the floor this season. The Catamounts have converted on 54.5% of their field goal attempts during their 11-game winning streak. Ryan Davis leads UVM with a 57.2% field goal percentage that ranks No. 24 in the country. The senior has hit 68.6% of his field goals during Vermont's streak.
