WOMEN'S LACROSSE NOTEBOOK
Vermont (9-3, 2-2 AE) heads back on the road for the first time in three weeks on Saturday (Apr. 16) when it visits New Hampshire (6-6, 1-2 AE) in Durham, N.H. The opening draw is set for 1 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium, and will broadcast live on AmericaEast.TV.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
New Hampshire enters Saturday's game at sixth place in the America East standings, with only one win in league play. The Wildcats defeated UMass Lowell 12-7 on Mar. 26 at home, but have suffered two-straight losses since. UNH most recently fell to fifth-ranked Stony Brook by a score of 20-6 on Apr. 9. Mackenzie MacEachern leads the New Hampshire attack with 35 points on a team-high 26 goals. Delaney Pratt also has 26 goals this season for the Wildcats. Issy Torres (12.19 GAA, .418 SV%) and Maria Hagan (15.05 GAA, .364 SV%) have split time in goal for UNH, with six starts each.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The twin state rivalry is the longest standing rivalry in school history. The programs have met on an annual basis since 1983. The Catamounts have won six of the last 10 meetings, including a pair of wins over the Wildcats in 2021. Vermont clinched its first America East Playoffs berth since 2015, with a 13-9 victory in its last trip to Durham.
Dani Paterno led the Catamounts with five points on a pair of goals and three assists.
Ava Vasile tallied three goals and dished out one assist.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
UVM goalkeeper
Sophie McLaughlin earned her second America East Defensive Player of the Week award of the season, following her performance in the 16-8 victory over UMBC last Saturday. McLaughlin matched a season-high 10 saves and allowed only eight goals in Vermont's first victory over UMBC since 2016. The senior's 10 stops and .556 save percentage are her highest in America East play this season.

CATS THROUGH 12 GAMES
The 2022 Catamounts are only the third team in program history to have at least nine wins through the first 12 games of the season. Vermont had a program-best 10 wins through 12 games to start the 2014 season. In 1984, the Catamounts won nine of their first 12 games.

CLIMBING THE RANKS
With a win on Saturday, UVM can become only the third team in program history to reach 10 wins in a single season. The Catamounts are currently tied with the 1984, 1993, 2009, and 2012 teams for the third-highest single-season win total.

Ava Vasile registered a career-high seven points in Vermont's win over UMBC a week ago. Vasile matched a career-high five goals and dished out two assists.
