Vermont (12-3, 3-2 AE) closes out the regular season against Binghamton (6-8, 1-4 AE) on Senior Day, presented by the UVM Alumni Association, Saturday (Apr. 30) at Virtue Field. The opening draw is set for 12 p.m. and will broadcast live on AmericaEast.TV. Tickets are available for purchase at

Jen Williams after Saturday's game on Senior Day, presented by the UVM Alumni Association. The Class of 2022 has combined for 30 wins over a four-year span – the fourth-winningest class in program history.

Saturday is also Poster Day, presented by UVM Print & Mail. Fans are encouraged to stick around after the game for a poster signing with the 2022 Vermont women's lacrosse team.

CHANCE TO MAKE HISTORY
The Catamounts can become the first team in program history to reach the 13-win mark with a victory over Binghamton on Saturday. Vermont's 12 wins currently match the program record, which was initially set in 2014.

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
Binghamton comes to Burlington in need of a victory in the regular season finale. The Bearcats are currently the first seed left out of the America East Tournament with only four teams making the postseason. Binghamton has suffered losses in four of its last five games – all against America East opponents. The Bearcats' lone win came in the form of a 20-14 victory at UMBC on Apr. 6. Binghamton fell to New Hampshire 15-14 in its most recent outing on Apr. 23. Kenna Newman leads the BU attack with 40 points on 24 goals and 16 assists. Goalkeeper Emily Manning ranks third in the league in saves per game (7.92), but ninth in save percentage (.415).

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts lead the all-time series with a 13-6 mark against the Bearcats. Vermont has won the last two meetings, including a 17-10 victory last season.
Ava Vasile and
Grace Giancola led the Catamounts with five goals each, and
Maris Large also added a hat trick. Giancola chipped in a pair of assists as well, to produce a career-high seven points.
Sophie McLaughlin recorded 12 saves for Vermont.

100 FOR AVA
Junior midfielder
Ava Vasile became the ninth Catamount in program history to reach the 100-career goal mark, with her fourth tally in Saturday's comeback win at Bryant. Vasile is the first to reach the 100-career goal mark since Jenna Janes in 2019. The Milford, Mass native has 50 goals this season, which is the sixth-highest single-season total in program history. Her 66 points this season are the fifth-highest total in single-season history.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Goalkeeper
Sophie McLaughlin was named America East Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season on Monday (Apr. 25). The senior registered a .543 save percentage in a 2-0 week for the Catamounts, including a season-high 12 saves at Bryant.

HEADING TO THE PLAYOFFS
The Catamounts clinched a berth in the America East Women's Lacrosse Championships for the second consecutive season with their win on Apr. 16 at UNH. Vermont will make its 10th appearance in the conference tournament, beginning with the Semifinals on Thursday (May 5) at 6 p.m.
