"We are happy to announce
Nick Grill as the newest member of our coaching staff," Feifs said. "He brings tremendous character and elite level playing experience to our program and defense. I am excited to get started with him and I know the guys will be too."
Grill comes to Burlington via conference rival Binghamton where he spent the 2022 season as defensive coordinator for the Bearcats. Binghamton ranked third in the league in scoring defense under Grill's watch.
Currently a member of the Premiere Lacrosse League's Chrome Lacrosse Club, Grill had a standout collegiate playing career at Marquette and Maryland. As a Terrapin in 2021, he was named a Second Team All-American and the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. In Maryland's run to the NCAA title game that season he caused four turnovers and snagged nine ground balls. In three seasons as a Marquette Golden Eagle, Grill was a three-time All-Big East selection including a First Team nod as a junior in 2019.
Grill wrapped his collegiate career with 57 caused turnovers and 120 ground balls as a close defender.
