SWIMMING AND DIVING NOTEBOOK
The Catamounts host Northeastern as they return to action for the first time in the 2022-23 season with a home opening meet, on Saturday, September 24. Vermont's meet with the Huskies will welcome back two former Vermont standouts who are currently coaching for Northeastern. The meet will begin at 11 a.m. All the action will be streamed live on AmericaEast.TV.

FAMILIAR FACES ON THE DECK
A pair of former Catamount standouts are a part of the Huskies' 2022-23 coaching staff. The Diving Coach Lauren Colby attended UVM and graduated in 2012. A former two-time team captain (2010-11, 2011-12), Colby earned America East Diver of the Week on four separate occasions in her career. She was also named Team Diver of the Year in the 2008-09 season as well as making the 2011 America East Academic Honor Roll. The Assistant Swim Coach
Katie Rivers is an alum Class of 2021 and former four-year member of the Catamounts swim team. Rivers was named team captain in her senior season, where she also took home the 400 IM AE Conference champion. She was also the former varsity record holder for the 200 IM.

KEY RETURNING MEMBERS
The Catamounts return five all-conference honorees to the team that finished third in the America East Conference Championships last season (setting a Vermont record for points at the championship meet) and were 4-3 in dual meets. In total, the Catamounts five returning members accounted for nine All-Conference Honorees for Vermont. Four of those members,
Cailin Campbell,
Ella Church,
Jackie House and
Mina Poppas were a part of the group that won the 800 freestyle relay while House, Campbell and Poppas finished the sweep as part of the group that won the 200 freestyle and the 400 freestyle.
Kara Campbell also returns to the squad after taking home the 200 IM championship for the Catamounts.

MILITARY APPRECIATION
Saturday's meet will be UVM's annual Military Appreciation meet presented by Milton Cat. We encourage fans to learn more aboutÂ

Saturday will also be Poster Day presented by UVM Print and Mail, where fans can grab posters of the team at the marketing table.

HOME MEETS
Vermont will have three more events at Forbush Natatorium throughout the 2022-23 season. Their next home meet will come against Merrimack on Saturday, October 8 at 2 p.m. Following that, the Catamounts will return home on Saturday, November 5 at 11 a.m. to take on Maine and again on Saturday, January 21 at 10:30 a.m. versus Rhode Island.

The Catamounts next meet will be at home at Forbush Natatorium on Saturday, October 8. The start time for that meet is schedule for 2 p.m. and will be streamed live on AmericaEast.TV.
