The matchup between the Catamounts and Black Bears will broadcast live on

THE WINNINGEST COACH
Cioffi Men's Basketball Head Coach,
John Becker, will be honored prior to tip-off on Thursday night. The UVM bench boss passed Tom Brennan for the most wins in program history, earning his 265th victory against Bryant on Jan. 5.
COACHING CONNECTION
Maine head coach, Chris Markwood, was on the Vermont coaching staff for
John Becker's first three seasons as bench boss. During his time at UVM, the Catamounts won the 2011-12 America East Championship, and earned an NCAA Tournament victory over Lamar (W, 71-59) in the First Four.
SCOUTING THE BLACK BEARS
The Black Bears are in search of their first America East win of the season. Maine has played a pair of tightly contested games against league foes, including a 72-70 loss at UMass Lowell on Jan. 5. The Black Bears had a 45-34 halftime lead against UMBC on Saturday, but ultimately fell 85-77. Gedi Juozapaitis leads the offense with 15.7 points per game. Kellen Tynes also averages double-figures, tallying 14.8 points per game. Tynes has racked up 2.9 steals per game this season, which ranks No. 3 in the nation.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts and Black Bears meet for the 151st time in series history on Thursday. Vermont owns a 50-25 home record against Maine, and an 80-70 mark in the all-time series. UVM is currently riding a 24-game winning streak against Maine.
HOME SWEET HOME
Vermont will be home for back-to-back games for the first time this season. Thursday's matchup is only the fifth home game of the 2022-23 campaign. The Catamounts own a 3-1 mark at home this season, and have gone 214-51 at Patrick Gym since 2002-03.
DELONEY AT HOME
Aaron Deloney has averaged 20.5 points per game at Patrick Gym this season, and has sank an impressive 63.6% (14-22 3PT) of his three-point attempts on Tom Brennan Court. Deloney opened the 2022-23 campaign with a career-high 32 points against Brown on Nov. 7. The senior was 5-for-7 from deep in Vermont's home victory against conference Bryant on Jan. 5.
CAREER NUMBERS FOR DUNCAN
Robin Duncan has averaged career-highs in scoring (7.7 ppg), rebounding (6.6 rpg), and assists (3.4 apg) so far this season. The Evansville, Ind. Native has reached double figures in seven games this season. Duncan has averaged 11.0 points per game and 4.8 assist per game in league play so far. His assist average ranks No. 2 in America East play.
