BOSTON – Jackie House was named the America East Female Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday, January 24 after a stellar performance against Rhode Island on Saturday (Jan. 21). The league announced Tuesday morning. This is the third time this season for House, sixth time for Vermont and second consecutive week the Catamounts have received an America East Weekly award.

House, a Madison, Wisconsin native, dominated in the Catamounts final meet at Forbush Natatorium of the 2022-23 campaign for her third America East Female Swimmer of the Week nod this season. She earned three individual victories on the day taking three of the five free relays in the meet with Rhode Island. Her first victory came in the 200 freestyle (1:54.57) where she cleared the field by a full four seconds. House earned her second win in the 100 freestyle (53.19), while her third victory came in the 500 freestyle finishing in a time of 5:04.35, almost two seconds ahead of the next closest swimmer.

The Catamounts will travel to Middlebury on Friday and Saturday for the Middlebury Invitational. The meet is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. Friday (Jan. 27) and will go through the day on Saturday (Jan. 28). The meet will be broadcast live on
