LAST TIME OUT
Vermont took on Stanford and UC Davis last weekend. The Catamounts dropped their matchup to Stanford 1-0. On Sunday, Vermont dominated in an 8-2 win over UC Davis. Sophia Lefranc, Sophia Drees, and Alina Gerke all had two goals for the Catamounts. Lilly Leiprecht and Haley Buffenbarger also added goals in the win. Maddie Moran, Lotte Kanters, and Meg Weyer recorded assists as Vermont had six players register multi-point games.
SCORING RECORDS
The eight goals scored against UC Davis is the second most in a game in program history. The record came in 2005 when the Catamounts defeated UMBC 9-5. It is the most goals scored in a game under head coach Kate Pfeifer.
FOUR TIMES THE CHARM
Vermont is 19-0 when scoring at least four goals under head coach Pfeifer. The Cats have accomplished the feat 14 times since the 2019 season.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Bryant enters the Friday matchup after dropping two games to Maine and Cal last weekend. The Bulldogs were picked to finish last in the America East Preseason Poll after posting a 5-14 (0-8 AE) record in 2022. Brittany Gouws leads the team in scoring with six goals and 14 points, while Taryn Rauff and Natalie Griffin have recorded ten and eight points each. Goalkeeper Dieneke Hes has a 2-5 record in seven starts and a 3.14 goals-against-average.
SERIES HISTORY
The Catamounts and Bulldogs have played five times, with Vermont holding a 4-1 advantage in the series. The most recent matchup went the way of the Catamounts last year as they beat Bryant 2-1.
