WOMEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING NOTEBOOK
The Catamounts (1-0) will return to action on Saturday as they host New Hampshire in an America East battle in their annual Youth Day presented by Healthy Living. Saturday's meet will also be the annual America East spread respect meet. The meet is scheduled to start at 12 p.m. and will be broadcast on AmericaEast.TV.Â

YOUTH DAY pres. HEALTHY LIVING
Saturday's meet is the Catamounts annual Youth Day meet presented by Healthy Living. Youth Day will take place in the indoor lower east and center track from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. which will include dress like a Catamount station, lawn games, bounce house, arts and crafts, a face painter and more! There will also be Healthy Living bag giveaways to all kids.

SPREAD RESPECT MEET
Spread Respect is an initiative that was developed by the America East Conference to raise awareness to ensure equality and safety for all student-athletes, coaches and fans without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity. The Spread Respect initiative began during the 2019-2020 campaign and continues through all sports presented by the America East Conference.
AMERICA EAST WEEKLY AWARDSÂ
Tannah Proudfoot earned her first 2023 America East weekly award when she was named Female Diver of the Week (Oct. 9). Proudfoot, a first year from Johannesburg, South Africa, earned her first ever America East weekly honor after claiming first in the one-meter dive and three-meter dive in her first collegiate competition. In the three-meter dive she finished with a score 259.50 which was 34 more points than the next closest diver. In the one-meter dive she dominated finishing with a score of 250.65 with the next closest diver coming in at 198.15.

Jackie House earned her first 2023-24 America East weekly award when she was named Female Swimmer of the Week (Oct. 17). House, a junior, earned her first America East weekly honor of the season after claiming first in the 500 free with a time of 5:06.34 and first in the 200 free with a time of 1:53.70 in the NJIT Invitational. Also, at the NJIT invitational, House helped Vermont secure the win with multiple third place finishes including the 200-medley relay (1:49.07), 200 free relay (1:38.68), 400 medley relay (3:57.96), and the 400 free relay (3:37.53).Â

HOT START TO THE SEASONÂ
UVM got off to a hot start to the season with a 159-95 win over Merrimack. First year
Havana Layton earned her first collegiate victory in the 50 free with a time of 24.46 while teammate
Jessica Drozdowski also earned her first collegiate victory in the 100 fly with a time of 59.63 in the Merrimack meet. Junior
Jackie House has had a strong start to the season with a first place finish in 100 and 200 free against Merrimack as well as earning a first place finish in the 200 and 500 free at the NJIT Invitational. Sophomore
Lilly Acker has also earned a first place finish in the 200 breast with a time of 2:26.03 in the NJIT Invitational.

MEET TIMELINE
The Catamounts will compete in a 16-event format in their meet with UNH on Saturday, October 21. The meet will start with the 200 medley relay followed by the 1000 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 200 butterfly and 50 freestyle before the teams participate in the one-meter diving event. Following that, the two teams will participate in the 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, 500 freestyle and 100 butterfly. Following those five events the two teams will participate in the three-meter dive before finishing the competition with the 200 IM and the 200 free relay.Â

HOME MEETS
The Catamounts have a total of four more meets at Forbush Natatorium during the 2023-24 campaign. Following their meet against America East foe New Hampshire, the Catamounts will return to Forbush Natatorium on back-to-back weekends when they face UMass on Saturday, December 2 and UConn on Saturday, December 9. Both of those meets are scheduled to start at 12 p.m. and will be broadcast live on AmericaEast.TV. Vermont's final home meet of the season will be their annual Senior Day presented by MVP Health Advantage against Siena on Sunday, January 14. That meet is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

WHO'S NEXTÂ
Following Sunday's matchup with the Wildcats the Catamounts will return to action on Saturday, November 4 for another America East matchup at Maine. The start time for that meet is scheduled for 11 a.m. and will be broadcast live on AmericaEast.TV.
