BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced its Division I All-Region teams Wednesday morning. Alina Gerke was named to the All-Northeast First Team, while Sophia Lefranc was named to the Second Team.

Gerke was named to the First Team for the first time after posting a career-high 10 goals and two assists for 22 points. She was also selected to the America East All-Conference First for the second consecutive season. Gerke recorded three game-winners, the most significant being in overtime against Lafayette and against Maine, to send the Catamounts to the playoffs.
Vermont's leading scorer this season, Lefranc, finished the year with 10 goals and five assists. The 25 points mark a career-high and ranks 11th in program history for most points in a season. She was selected to the America East All-Conference Second Team. She scored the game-winning goal against California on Sept. 24 for the second straight year.
In total, 160 student-athletes were honored across five regions.
