BURLINGTON, Vt. – Despite hat tricks from
David Closterman and
Charles Huntley, Vermont fell at home in a snowstorm against Brown on Sunday afternoon, 22-12.
With the loss the Catamounts fall to 2-2 overall and the Bears improve to 2-1 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brown jumped to an early 2-0 lead before David Closterman and Brock Haley answered for the Catamounts with back-to-back goals to tie it up at 2-2 with 6:45 remaining. It was Closterman's ninth goal of the season and was scored man-up.
- Brown then went on a scoring run with four straight to end the first quarter up 6-2.
- James Basile stemmed the tide with his third goal of the season to cut the lead to five with 7:41 left in the second quarter.
- Devon McLane scored one of his game-high nine goals as part of a quick 2-0 spurt to start the second half for Brown.
- Huntley, Harrison Josloff and Tristan Whitaker all found twine for the Cats to trim the lead to 15-9 with 3:49 to go in the third.
- Brown would go on to score six of the game's next seven goals to keep UVM at bay and fend off any Catamount run.

- George Egan saw his first action of the season registering four saves in the fourth quarter for the Catamounts.
