SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
UAlbany needs a victory and an NJIT loss on Tuesday to clinch the final seed in the 2023 Jersey Mike's America East Playoffs. The Great Danes are currently one game back of the Highlanders who occupy the No. 8 spot in the America East standings. UAlbany has won two of its last three games, including an 82-68 victory over NJIT on Saturday night. Gerald Drumgoole ranks No. 2 in the conference in points per game (17.3). Jonathan Beagle averages 13.6 points per game in league play, which leads all rookies.
Â
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts and Great Danes meet for the 53rd time in series history on Tuesday night. Vermont owns a 37-15 record in the all-time series, including a 17-7 mark at Patrick Gym. UVM has won nine of the last 10 meetings with UAlbany. The Catamounts defeated the Great Danes 87-68 on the road earlier this season. Four Cats reached double figures in the contest.

Â
REGULAR SEASON CHAMPS
Vermont clinched its seventh-straight America East Regular Season Title on Feb. 22 vs. Binghamton. UVM's streak of seven-straight titles is the second-longest active streak in the country behind Gonzaga (11). Vermont has posted a 99-12 (.892)Â record in conference play over the last seven seasons.
Â
LOOKING FOR WIN #20
The Catamounts need one more victory to reach the 20-win mark for the 14th-straight full season. UVM only played 15 games in the 2020-21 COVID-altered season. Only five other schools have reached the 20-win mark in each of the last 14 full seasons: Duke, Gonzaga, Kansas, Kentucky, and Saint Mary's.
Â
W11 STREAK
Vermont's 11-game winning streak is tied for the third-longest active streak in the country. It is the seventh double-digit streak under Cioffi Men's Basketball Head Coach
John Becker, and ranks as the fifth-longest streak during his tenure.
