INDIANAPOLIS – Vermont men's basketball guard
Dylan Penn has been named to the All-District I team by the United States Basketball Writers Association. The USBWA released its 2022-23 Men's All-District Teams on Tuesday afternoon.

The USBWA All-District I team is chosen based on student-athletes form New England schools.
Penn is the one of two America East players named to the team. He is joined by Sherif Gross-Bullock of Bryant.
Penn received America East All-Conference Second Team honors, and was named a finalist for the Lou Henson National Player of the Year award earlier this month. The fifth-year senior has averaged a team-high 13.5 points per game, earning starts in all 33 games for the Catamounts. Penn has knocked down 53.9% of his field goals on the season, including a 54.4% shooting rate in conference play.
The Evansville, Ind. native averaged 23.3 points per game in Vermont's America East Championship run, shooting 67.4% from the field, and was named the Reggie Lewis Most Outstanding Player.
Penn and the Catamounts will face No. 2 Marquette in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday (Mar. 17) in Columbus, Ohio. Tip-off is slated for 2:45 p.m. ET at Nationwide Arena. Fans can watch the action live on CBS with Andrew Catalon, Steve Lappas, and Jamie Erdahl on the call.
