BOSTON – A pair of Catamounts picked up America East weekly awards on Monday (Apr. 24) after completing a 2-0 week and clinching a conference tournament berth.
Ava Vasile was named Offensive Player of the Week, and
Jane Trauger garnered her fourth Rookie of the Week honor of the season.

The Offensive Player of the Week honor is Vasile's first of the season, despite leading conference play in goals per game (4.60) and points per game (5.40). Vasile posted four points (3 goals, 1 assist) in Tuesday's home victory over Dartmouth. The senior led UVM's thrilling comeback win at UMBC on Saturday, scoring five goals and adding one assist. Vasile netted four of her goals in the second half, including the clinching tally with 6:10 remaining.
Trauger's four Rookie of the Week awards are the most in the conference this season. The first-year leads all America East rookies in scoring this season with 2.29 goals per game. Trauger scored three times in Tuesday's win over Dartmouth, while scooping up two ground balls and recording two caused turnovers. She added one goal and one ground ball in the road victory at UMBC.
UVM closes out the 2023 regular season on Saturday (Apr. 29) when it hosts UMass Lowell at Virtue Field. The opening draw is set for 12 p.m. and will broadcast live on
