Vermont track & field will compete in the UMass Pre-Conference Meet on Saturday for one final tune-up before the upcoming America East Championships. The meet begins at 11 a.m. at UMass Track & Field Complex. MileSplit will provide live results.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Catamounts enter their last week of competition before the 2023 America East Outdoor Track & Championships. Events begin at 10 a.m. on May 6 at UAlbany and continue on May 7. AmericaEast.TV will provide live coverage of the 2023 conference championships.

JANE'S NCAA BID

Jane Leighton, currently owns the 32nd-fastest 3000-meter steeplechase mark on the Division I East Region's qualifying list. Leighton posted a personal-best time of 10:25.97 at the Bryan Clay Invite in Azusa, California. The Amherst, New Hampshire native needs to remain in the top 48 of the region to qualify for the NCAA East Regional. Leighton's steeplechase is No. 2 on the America East Performance List.

RETURNING TO UMASS
UMass Track & Field Complex has been a familiar spot for the Catamounts this season, who have competed in the UMass Multi-Meet on April 12 & 13, as well as the Commonwealth Invite on April 15.

DEBOER'S HIGH JUMP
Strong marks were posted by Vermont on April 15 at UMass, including
Pierce DeBoer's career-best high jump of 1.93 meters that earned a second-place finish. The junior's mark currently ranks No. 5 on the America East Performance List.

THE MULTIS CREW
UVM's combined events specialists posted strong marks at the UMass Multis Meet earlier this month.Â
Kayla Myers recorded a runner-up finish in the women's heptathlon (3,986), and ranks No. 2 on the America East Performance List.
Jackson Baker and
Henry Miller were second and third in the men's decathlon with scores of 5,434 points and 5,233 points, respectively. The two Catamounts rank No. 3 and No. 4 on the conference's performance list.

RELAY WIN
Avinabo Poddar,
Andrew Ponessi,
Alex Warner, and
Alex Siaton were victorious in the 4x100-meter relay last Saturday at the Rutgers Relays. The UVM quartet posted a time of 42.57 seconds, which is sixth on the America East Performance List.
